Jaakko Laakso
Chairman of The Finland-Georgia Business Association.
Mr Laakso has experience from, jewellery, plastics and ICT sectors.
Has been an active member in Chamber of Commerce, Chaine Des Rotisseurs and Junior Chamber International (JCI)
Jaakko has a Bachelor degree in International Business Management from Birmingham City University and holds a Master of Science degree in e-Business from Aston University.
Gela Andrew Suli
Georgian-American media & technology entrepreneur and producer. Founder and executive partner at New York City based production and software companies. Former CEO of Georgian Film Studios. Investment advisor and business intelligence consultant to companies working in the Baltic/Caspian/Black Sea regions. Active developer of the regional startup ecosystem and investments. Member of corporate boards at Angel Investment Club Georgia, Georgian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce, Finland-Georgia Business Association. Gela is a mathematician by training and holds an MA in International and Area Studies from Yale University.
George (Gia) Bazgadze
An active investor and owner of various Georgia-based businesses and properties, George has managed a wide array of privatization & post-privatization restructuring, investments, and technical assistance projects. Founding Member of the Board of American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia, Member of the Board of the Taxpayers Union, Member of Georgian Business Association, Member of the Supervisory Board of Georgian Stock Exchange. Co-founder and CEO of Georgian Consulting Group (GCG), acquired by Ernst and Young, Mr. Bazgadze led EY (Ernst & Young) Tbilisi office for more than 20 years as Country Managing Partner.
Currently, he is the Chairman of the Supervisory Council of the JSC Rustaveli/Cavea Cinemas Network, Founding Member of the American Academy in Tbilisi, Founder of the International Foundation for Arts and Intercultural Dialogue. Mr. Bazgadze sits on several corporate boards, such as the American Academy in Georgia, First Step Georgia (FSG), Angel Investor Club Georgia.
Matti Lampi
Matti Lampi is the deputy director of the Finland Georgia Business Association located mostly in Georgia. His experience comes mostly from working with food and agriculture sectors, both private and public. Originally a M.Sc. graduate from Helsinki University Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry with majors in Dairy economics and technology he has also gained Ph.D. honoris causa from the University Geomedi in Tbilisi, Georgia for great contribution in Georgian Public Health Education System. After working over a decade with Valio’s quality management, he has acted over two decades as the CEO of his own consulting company Imprescon partners with assignments all over eastern and southern Europe. At present he spends half of his time as a Resident Advisor for the National Food Agency of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia. The rest of his time Mr. Lampi focuses at his tasks of a Senior Partner in Imprescon partners - MilkTek Oy in Finland and Imprescon partners - Caucasus Ltd in Georgia respectively. Aside his wide experience with Finnish food industry, Mr. Lampi is well connected with the agri-food and environmental sectors of Georgia.
